CLINICIAN - TEAM LEADER - OR2 / ASTD PROGRAMS

The successful candidate will ensure the effective delivery of programs and services to clients on a day-to-day basis by providing leadership to the rehabilitation team and serving as the liaison with external referrers. A background in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy is preferred for this position.
Leadership:
1. Oversee the coordination of the provision of care for each client to ensure the achievement of outcomes and quality of service delivery.
2. Provide leadership in Team meetings regarding admit/continue/discharge/ discharge status decisions.
3. Ensure that team and program development meetings are scheduled and occur as planned.
4. Prepare agenda for and chair monthly program development meetings as well as complete meeting minutes and follow up on action items.
5. Monitor clinical outcomes for programs.
6. Develop with team and input from the Manager Clinical Services program improvement plans towards improved program measures.
7. Oversee implementation of program improvement plans.
8. Nurture relationships with referrers, ensure that there is regular contact with Worksafe BC QA Manager/Supervisor.
9. Solicit feedback on referrer satisfaction with our services when appropriate - communicate referrer feedback to team.
10. Provide leadership and coaching with respect to communication and relationship building with referrers/case managers/AQ Manager/Supervisor.
Supervisory Skills
1. Ensure staffing levels in program meet necessary requirements by identifying staffing needs and liaising with the Manager Clinical Services.
2. Oversee the co-ordination of clinical reports and ensure their timely completion.
3. Review completed reports as needed to ensure compliance with reporting standards.
4. Arrange for and schedule orientation of any new staff to the team.
5. Complete annual performance review reviews for staff on the team.
6. Ensure mentorship plans are adhered to.
7. Deal with critical staffing issues as they arise.
Supervisory Skills

5. Provide leadership to team with clinical decision making and problem solving.
6. Upgrade skills in accordance with new knowledge and developments in rehabilitation.
Communication Skills
1. Liaise with external stakeholders regularly regarding client progress.
2. Keep Manager Clinical Services regularly informed about team functioning and any emerging issues. Interpersonal Skills/Teamwork
1. Liaise with Administrative Support staff regularly to ensure scheduling and program organization supports smooth delivery of services to clients.
2. Promote positive staff morale on an on-going basis and work with Manager Clinical Services to manage any emerging issues.
Administrative Skills
1. Assist Admin. with scheduling decisions as needed.
2. Provide reports as required in accordance with established program standards.
3. Make recommendations on the purchase of equipment, tools etc. and facilities requirements.
4. Assist with CARF preparation process.
5. Participate in all required staff, team meetings and conferences.
Qualifications
1. Experience with interdisciplinary clinical team approach

4. Relevant Degree (OT, PT, Kin)
