Rachel Footman, B.Sc., M.Sc. (OT)
Consultant Occupational Therapist
Rachel Footman graduated with a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from D’Youville College, in New York State. She has since gained extensive work experience in acute hospital, outpatient and community settings with Vancouver Coastal Health in Richmond, BC. Rachel comes to Progressive Rehab with well developed occupational therapy skills in the areas of orthopaedics, neurology, cardiac rehab and arthritis. She has experience with discharge planning, home safety assessments, equipment prescription, as well as seating and wheelchair assessment. She has completed post graduate training in Functional Capacity Evaluation. She has been actively involved with student mentorship and training and has facilitated community education and outreach in the Lower Mainland.
Qualifications & Memberships:
• Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC)
• Member of the British Columbia Association of Occupational Therapists (BCSOT)
• Graduate of D’Youville College, Buffalo NY (Combined Bachelor and Master’s degree in OT)
• Completed Roy Matheson Functional Capacity Evaluation certification program
