Linda Waithman, B.Sc. (OT)
Consulting Occupational Therapist
Linda Waithman joined Progressive Rehab, in 2003 after gaining experience at WorkSafeBC and in other community based settings. She has extensive experience working with clients with chronic pain and neurological impairment, including traumatic brain injury, as well as paediatrics. She has worked in the community providing work site assessments, ergonomic evaluations, hospital discharge support and rehabilitation programs for a number of referral agencies including WorkSafeBC, ICBC, BC Teachers’ Federation and Department of Veteran Affairs. Since joining Progressive Rehab, Linda has advanced her role to include functional and work capacity evaluations and cost of future care assessments. Linda has been instrumental in developing our return to work programs and providing training and mentorship to other clinicians. She has worked with hundreds of workers and employers to facilitate safe and successful returns to work. She oversees the Quality Assurance program for RTWSS at Progressive Rehab.
Qualifications & Memberships:
• Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC
• Member of the BC Society of Occupational Therapists
• Graduate of the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Medicine, School of Rehabilitation Medicine (Occupational Therapy)
• Completed Roy Matheson and Associates Industrial Rehabilitation Functional Capacity Evaluation and Ergonomic Evaluation Programs, and Isernhagen Work Systems training
• Approved provider for WorkSafeBC FCE’s and Community Occupational Therapy
• Qualified as an expert witness in the Supreme Court of British Columbia
