Lindsey Townsend joined Progressive Rehab in 1996 after working a number of years at GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre in spinal cord injury, brain injury, and child and adolescent services, and for Greater Vancouver Mental Health providing adolescent mental health services. She has developed a community rehabilitation practice that focuses on catastrophic injury and includes children and adolescents. She has solid experience in functional and work capacity evaluation and cost of future care assessments. Lindsey spends a great deal of her time mentoring and directing the team of Occupational Therapists at Progressive Rehab to ensure quality of service.
Qualifications & Memberships:
• Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC
• Member of the BC Society of Occupational Therapists and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists
• Graduate of University of British Columbia, Faculty of Medicine, School of Rehabilitation Medicine (Occupational Therapy)
• Graduate of Simon Fraser University (Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology)
• Diploma in Functional Capacity Evaluation form University of Florida
• Completed Roy Matheson and Associates Industrial Rehabilitation Functional Capacity Evaluation and Advanced Functional Capacity Evaluation Programs
• Approved provider for WorkSafeBC FCE’s and Community Occupational Therapy
• Qualified as an expert witness in the Supreme Court of British Columbia
