Janet Hunt, B.S.R.
Consultant Occupational Therapist
Janet Hunt has over 30 years combined experience as a trained occupational therapist and physiotherapist. The majority of her practice has been as an occupational therapist, working in the private sector since 1993. Prior to coming on board with Progressive Rehab, Janet worked at Vancouver General Hospital, Pearson Hospital and Shaughnessy Hospital (in Vancouver) as well as West Park Hospital (in Toronto) in the fields of orthopaedics, neurology, geriatrics, respiratory care, general medicine, work hardening and work capacity evaluation. Her experience has included the full continuum of care from acute care, in-patient rehabilitation, long term care through to community based rehabilitation. Janet’s current practice includes work capacity evaluations for medical/legal purposes, cost of future care assessments and complex community rehabilitation.
Qualifications & Memberships:
• Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC
• Member of the BC Society of Occupational Therapists and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists
• Graduate of the University of British Columbia, Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation
• Completed Roy Matheson and Associates Industrial Rehabilitation Functional Capacity Evaluation Program, Blankenship Functional Capacity Evaluation Seminar and Isernhagen Work Systems training
• Completed Roy Matheson and Associates Life Care Planning Course
• Approved provider for WorkSafeBC FCE’s and Community Occupational Therapy
• Qualified as an expert witness in the Supreme Court of British Columbia
