Senior Consultant Occupational Therapist
Gerard Kerr is one of Progressive Rehab’s founding clinicians. He has a well established practice in work capacity evaluation and cost of future care assessment. He has performed thousands of work capacity and cost of future care assessments and testified on multiple occasions. Gerard’s past occupational therapy experience includes work in psychiatry, addictions, geriatrics, amputations, wheelchair prescription and seating, neurology, vocational rehabilitation, work site assessment and work hardening, in New Zealand, England and Canada. Gerard is also an instructor for the Functional Capacity Evaluation Certification Program (Roy Matheson & Associates).
Qualifications & Memberships:
• Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC
• Member of the BC Society of Occupational Therapists, Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists, and World Federation of Occupational Therapists
• Graduate of the Central Institute of Technology, Wellington, New Zealand in Occupational Therapy
• Certified as an Advanced Work Capacity Evaluator (Roy Matheson and Associates Industrial Residency Program)
• Completed training in Blankenship Functional Capacity and Isernhagen Work Systems
• Instructor with Matheson and Associates Industrial Residency program
• Approved provider for WorkSafeBC FCE’s
• Qualified as an expert witness in the Supreme Court of British Columbia
