Ayisha Remtulla, B.Sc. (OT)

Consultant Occupational Therapist

 

Ayisha Remtulla is a graduate of Queens University. She has worked in acute hospitals and community settings both in Calgary and Australia prior to moving to British Columbia. She has experience working in trauma, orthopaedics, neurology, seniors’ health, discharge planning, home and equipment assessment, and community rehabilitation and case management. She has been working as an occupational therapist with OrionHealth since 2006 in both Alberta and British Columbia. Throughout her time with OrionHealth she has developed her skills in the areas of chronic pain, vocational rehabilitation, functional evaluation, work hardening, ergonomic evaluations, job demands analysis, as well as cost of future care.  Ayisha comes to Progressive Rehab with well developed occupational therapy skills for return to work and community rehabilitation planning, as well as the ability to recognize and work through psychosocial and system dynamics that can impact rehabilitation outcomes.

Qualifications & Memberships:

• Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC)

• Member of Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists

• Graduate of Queen’s University Faculty of Rehabilitation – School of Occupational Therapy

• Completed Work Well Systems Functional Capacity Evaluation Training
